Develop new or improve existing products in only 3 days

Whether you want to introduce new products, add features or test new markets this is for you. Our Rapid Product Development reduces time and costs by compressing months of deliberating, development and testing into a three-day facilitated session.

Stages

Here’s a breakdown of what happens in the fast-paced team sessions:

Day 1: Discovery

Collectively define and agree the business problem, the present position, challenge, audience, and output KPIs.

Day 2: Ideation and Selection

The team members start by working individually to brainstorm solutions and developing user journeys, interfaces, features and aesthetics. The best solution is selected, and the final feature set agreed.

Day 3: Prototyping and Validation

The key components and primary user journeys are mocked up into a lo-fi prototype and tested with potential users. This feedback will inform on whether the prototype is viable and what iterations will be needed to get to a final product.

Outputs

Aside from the main user-validated prototype the team will also have:

  • A detailed understanding of the problem
  • Better insights into the challenges, solution and user needs
  • The assets created during the sessions – photos, notes, sketches, etc.

Case Studies

1) Building a machine-learning, natural language based referral service

Part of a £1bn turnover group, the asset management division had an existing digital product that measured staff performance however, it couldn’t track the referral rate and was therefore missing a key KPI for board level reporting. A secondary requirement was to be able to white label the product to establish a USP for their brand and drive real growth.

Execution and results:

Ran an on-site 3-day sprint and user tested with field operatives. Iterated the product and built a mobile app with natural language processing though Microsoft Cognitive Dynamics that also gauged and assigned the sentiment to the referral.

2) Creating a mobile app for children with AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa

Working with an international HIV and AIDS charity the aim was create a digital product to help children better adhere to their anti-retroviral medication. They had never launched a digital product in Africa before, so understanding cultural nuance was key.

Execution and results:

The low-fidelity prototype that came out of the design sprint was user-tested in Mozambique and Swaziland and put into development with plans for a wider go-to-market strategy and planned roll-out across Africa.

Budget

A standard 3-day sprint is £4,500+VAT and there are options for 5-day sprints and multiple sprints for larger and more complex projects.
